Service and Repair
We operate four stock and service depots in Durham, Glasgow, Guildford and Birmingham. Together with our broad team of sales area engineers and internal sales support, we’re able to offer nationwide coverage. Helping to get machinery back on track with minimum downtime and cost guaranteed.

In 2019, our partnership was consolidated further when ITR, part of the global USCO Group, acquired MST. We’re now part of USCO ITR’s Worldwide Team, which is considered the global leader in the manufacture of undercarriage, GET and repair parts.

Our Team
Although MST operate nationally, we MST believe that a local presence is essential to build trust and offer extra support to our valued customers. Today, MST is headquartered in Birtley, County Durham, but we operate service and distribution centres in Glasgow, Guildford and Birmingham as well as employing 7 area managers that are strategically located throughout the UK to offer a local service no matter where our customers are located. Today the group employs some 80 staff across the UK.

MST’s beginnings were humble ones. The founding owner, Ken Whitehall, established the business as a steel stockholder in Walsall, the West Midlands in 1963.
The company began manufacturing undercarriages after moving to the banks of the River Tyne in the North East in 1971. Our first service centre in Washington, County Durham served local plant hire and civil engineering companies.
Our early focus on quality and expertise has continued to be the catalyst for the company’s growth over a 50-year period.
For an ever-burgeoning UK and global customer base, MST is the first port of call for machinery spare parts. From the smallest mini excavator to the world’s largest mining machines, our expert team can tailor solutions that meet the needs of a constantly evolving world of earthmoving.
